Mohamed Salah has been named Liverpool's Player of the Month for December following his eye-catching display in the month under review. The 19-year-old full back was close to a switch to Alavés last summer but Zinedine Zidane blocked the move after the departure of Danilo to Manchester City.
The Gabon star who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool will be the Chinese side's big-name signing, and will cost the club about £63.8 million.
Five time Ballon D'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have failed to reach the highs of seasons previous in goals and Gareth Bale has spent most of this half of the season injured.
"It's always a good feeling for me to win this award because you work hard, you help the team to get points to achieve something", he added.
