If the new report is to consider, Nokia 9 will be the star of the Jan 19 launch event, which will be followed by next-gen Nokia 8 launch. It was also suggested that devices will not have Google service and they will come with other local counterparts.
Along with the new Nokia 9, Nokia 8 will also receive an upgrade much before the end of its update cycle.
Alongside the launch date and images of the Nokia 9, some of the specs and also the price of the phone have been leaked online.
We've been expecting the Nokia 9 to launch imminently, and now we might actually know the announcement date, as one source claims it will be unveiled on January 19. That's right, both the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) will not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, previous leaks indicated towards more RAM variants; one with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The 64GB variant of the Nokia 9 may be priced at around CNY 3,699 (Rs 35,965 approx.) while the 128GB storage variant might be priced at CNY 4,199 (Rs 40,826 approx.).
Earlier this year in September, a Geekbench listing revealed the specifications of the Nokia 9. The two smartphones will also be customized for the Chinese market, so there is a good chance that the global variants of the two smartphones will be announced by HMD Global at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in February.
While it is mandatory for devices launching with Oreo, it requires extra work for devices that came to life with an older version.
The new report suggests that both the phones, including Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 2018 edition may come with some very similar features like - 18:9 display and will be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor Snapdragon 835 chipset.
