Michael Bisping believes Conor McGregor would face a much tougher opponent in Tony Ferguson for his UFC return rather than a third bout with Nate Diaz.

The new champion now wants a title unification fight with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and he's willing to haunt the Irish fighter's dreams until he gets one.

The UFC lightweight champion is taking time off after losing his moneyspinning debut pro boxing bout to Floyd Mayweather in August.

"I honestly think that people would rather - like, I think people would rather see Conor vs. Diaz", he added. Go back to the 1990s and observe that Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn, the two biggest UFC stars of that era, crossed into professional wrestling and had success. And one day, no matter whether we have the same management or not, you will f*cking see me again.

Ferguson fighting McGregor makes the most sense, but those types of fights aren't always what the UFC put together. That's why Dana is pushing the Ferguson fight. Like, he's an exciting fighter so it will be an exciting fight. But this time it looks like a deal is going to be locked into place."Last week, Stephanie McMahon discussed the possibility of McGregor making an appearance for WWE at a "Leaders in Sports" convention at Stamford Bridge."I think Conor would be a ideal fit with WWE", McMahon said". He goes in. He looks to finish fights. Where Diaz, like, Conor was landing all the shots on Diaz as well and all the other stuff that we came up with worked against Diaz, it's just he kept coming and coming and coming and coming. However, Roddy doesn't think Ferguson presents the same challenge that Diaz does. But 20 million, I think what he's doing there is pricing himself out of the market, simple as that. So yeah, I think that's what's going to happen.

Even though he hasn't fought in the UFC in almost a year, the biggest story in MMA surrounds the future of Conor McGregor.

'For sure [Ferguson is a tougher fight than Diaz]. To Conor, Conor has his belts at home and he's never lost them, so in his eyes it's not real, like, you know what I mean? That dude hasn't defended that belt one time - not one time.

"Yeah, I would like more time off, definitely".

"Otherwise he needs to vacate, set it down, walk away, and never fucking come back". "I'm ready to start training next week". We've got a 12-week training camp, we can get this sh*t rolling.
