A new mode allows you to change lighting scenarios for photos on the fly.

Drexel Hamilton and RBC Capital Markets reiterated the firms' buy and outperform ratings on Apple shares after the event.

Huberty originally expected the high-end iPhone X model would be released in October versus the Nov. 3 release date Apple announced. Apple knows that its installed base is getting older; according to one estimate, by mid-2018, 35 per cent of working iPhones will be at least two years old.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, the US and US Virgin Islands. While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have been priced at Rs 64,000 and Rs 73,000 respectively in India, the iPhone X - pronounced like numeric 10 - takes Apple's pricing beyond the $1000 dollar mark.

The most notable feature in the 8 and 8 Plus, then, is wireless charging. The Home button's Touch ID (fingerprint scanner) is replaced by FaceID, which scans your face to unlock the iPhone X.

Apple says the iPhone 8 has an improved Retina Display featuring improved color gamut and better viewing angles over the iPhone 7.

The phones felt the same in our hands as the 7 and 7 Plus. The display will adapt to ambient lighting, similar to a feature in some iPad Pro models. This, however, makes sense from Apple's perspective as the iPhone X is marketed as a premium device with a premium price-tag.

To those familiar with past Apple upgrade conventions, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus might as well have been called the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. If anything, it'll add to the premium feel of the iPhone 8 Plus. FaceID, Bionic Chip and Augment Reality are some of the new addition to the iPhone X.

Chief executive officer Tim Cook has done a stellar job of maintaining the brand's cachet and expanding the model range to appeal to a range of incomes. This means the price of this phone is down by Rs 7,200.

Apple, however, may look to offset the price a bit with included accessories. These were subtle but welcome. The result appeared to be native resolution and 60fps. There's really no good reason for anyone to indulge the company's fat profit margins in the absence of operator subsidies.
