Anthony Scaramucci has been removed from his role in the White House after only 10 days in the position.
Scaramucci was fired hours after John Kelly, 67, a retired marine general, took over as the new White House chief of staff, replacing Reince Priebus who was fired after continued feud among the senior White House staffers came out in the open.
The Trump White House has easily been one of the most dysfunctional in memory.
Trump named Kelly to chief of staff on Friday in a staff shake-up as he ousted Priebus. If Gen. Kelly fired Scaramucci to restore order to the White House communications office, as The New York Times claims, then appointing an advisor who has been roundly mocked and famously parodied on Saturday Night Live probably isn't the way to do it.
In an interview last week, the former Wall Street financier used unparliamentary language against his White House colleagues and threatened to fire everyone from the White House who leaked information.
Trump expressed confidence during a cabinet meeting with his new team that Kelly would be among "one of the great ever" chiefs of staff and thanked him for his tenure as homeland security secretary, which Kelly left to take the White House position.
Sanders said Trump has given full authority to Kelly, and he'll make determinations inside the White House.
On the other hand, in spite of Trump famously seeking to distance himself from associates that become targets of mockery, the president has remained close to Conway when others have fallen by the wayside. The last thing General Kelly needs is to be asked about something the President tweeted, or said, for which he was not aware. This is not about blocking access but if there is to be consistency, and reduction of leaks, the Chief of Staff is the hub of the wheel, and all spokes lead to him. President Obama went through four Defense Secretaries and those in the know realized it was not them, but him.
