It's been a quiet summer so far as Victor Lindelof's transfer from Benfica is the only arrival that is currently set to join the players on the plane for the pre-season tour on Sunday.

According to the Mirror, Lukaku may have been brought around to United's side of things by his holiday buddy, one Paul Labile Pogba.

The former United and Everton player believes Lukaku will make the Red Devils a much stronger attacking outfit when it comes to transition and counter-attacking, and reckons he will score enough goals to be considered a success at Old Trafford. Now you've got someone with genuine, genuine speed that United can play on the counter-attack.

He has also scored more goals than any other Everton player in Premier League history (68).

United had been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, but their interest in the Spain international ended when they began to pursue Lukaku. "I want to improve and I know where I want to do that".

"It will be interesting to see how he fits into this United team because there's a lot of talk about 'Jose sold him, didn't play him at Chelsea', but that was four or five years ago".

Like many Belgians, Lukaku is multilingual.

Lukaku has been holidaying with close friend and United midfielder Paul Pogba and early on Friday morning the £89million world-record signing posted an Instagram story of the pair training together at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). If you go back to his West Brom days when he was on loan there from Chelsea [he scored] 17 Premier League goals.
